Sheryl Miller-Rideout has been in the hair art business for over 20 years. She gained experience and knowledge traveling internationally with Paul Mitchell as his assistant before moving onto training and managing his education teams. She also worked at top salons in New York City and Las Vegas. She is the heartbeat behind Fringe Hair Art. She has won multiple beauty awards and national recognition, including most recently, “Best Colorist and Stylist” by Las Vegas Life Magazine. Fringe Hair Art has been named Top 100 salons in the USA by Elle magazine 2011-2014

When Miller-Rideout returned Kennebunkport Maine to open Fringe Hair Art, the Boston Globe covered her return in the article “Back to Her Roots.” Her main concern is always making sure her clients feel well-taken care of and pampered when they leave.

Her customer service skills are high above anything and she truly cares about each and every person who comes through the hair salon.

Michael Joined the salon in 2014 as a working partner in the business. He brings 15 years experience in Sales and Account Management working for successful Maine businesses primarily focused in Technology and International relations. Michael also has previous small business management experience.

I started painting hair much earlier in my career to have an impact on the haircut. I would only need a few minutes to expose the light that would normally take an entire summer.
Hair that has a lived in feeling, like your favorite jeans, is way sexier than hair that looks like you shouldn’t touch it.
It always made sense and now it’s become serious business.
Hair painting pricing is determined during the consultation. Free-hand hair-painting creates effects ranging from soft and natural to bold and creative. For clients it is as economical as it is fashionable because it doesn’t leave strong lines of demarcation or re-growth. For these reasons, hair painting is now one the most asked for service. Make sure that whoever is doing it for you, if you aren’t at Fringe, has had training. I have.
