This 600 square foot salon, housed in one of Kennebunkport's oldest buildings, is contemporary in design yet still intimate and cozy with a warm gray and taupe color palette used throughout the salon. The salon incorporates organic and green materials including a custom glass wall made of recycled materials that also serves as a privacy wall for the shampoo area. Other design elements include recycled glass mosaics, organic paint and in keeping with the historical feel of the building, the salon features the existing wide wood plank floors.

Calina Hood, Rising Star
Calina is a recent graduate of Empire Beauty School in Portland, ME. She graduated at the top of her class back in May and is thrilled to hone her skills at Fringe. She is currently completing her assistantship and training program. She will be transitioning into full-time stylist and taking her own clientele heading into 2011.

Mary Altieri

Mary enjoys the creative aspect of hair styling and being able to see a positive result when she is done. She has grown up in Southern Maine and has hair styling in her blood. Her mother and grandfather were both hairdressers. She was born to be a great hairstylist. Mary attended cosmetology school in Portland, where she graduated in August 2010. She understands the value of learning from a expert before jumping into doing hair independently so she is currently in training with our Director . She envisions her future to be a stylist with the team of successful and talented hair stylists at Fringe Hair Art.

The salon also features a beauty boutique with the very best in hair and skin care products including Kerastase, and L'Oreal Professional Homme, the latest line of color and styling products designed specifically for men and women.
